Meet the Team
You and your family are held by a team that leads with care, presence, and deep respect for the land and each individual journey. With experienced guides and attentive support, we create a space where everyone feels safe, seen, and cared for, while sharing in meaningful moments of exploration, connection, and discovery together.
Paola
Founder & Organizer
Paola K. Wong is an artist, medicine woman, Labor and Delivery RN, and space holder devoted to awakening the divine feminine. Rooted in her Swiss Helvetic and Haitian Taino ancestry, she weaves ceremony, song, womb movement, and ancestral earth wisdom into every space she holds. On this journey, Paola leads both an Oshun ceremony on the Nile and a Yemaya ceremony by the sea, drawing from the Afro Cuban and Haitian traditions that are at the heart of her practice. She has been leading transformational journeys to Egypt since 2021 and will be with you every step of this pilgrimage, holding the container with care, presence, and deep reverence for the land and for each soul who answers the call.
Carli
Family Yoga Teacher
Carli Michelle is the founder of “I Gotta Be Well”, a wellness practice devoted to helping individuals reconnect through breath, movement, and mindful awareness. She is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, trained across vinyasa, hatha, and yin traditions, and a certified breathwork practitioner with training in the Fundamentals of Breathwork and Integrative Energy Healing and Breathwork. Her work weaves together yoga, meditation, sound healing, and nervous system regulation to support deep, whole-body healing.
After earning her Juris Doctor and practicing law in Chicago, Carli followed a transformative healing journey that led her to fully devote herself to wellness work. She now teaches in studios, retreats, community spaces, and schools, guiding both adults and children in emotional regulation, self-awareness, and embodied wellbeing.
With a background in child development and certification in children’s yoga, Carli brings a grounded, nurturing presence to her work. At the retreat, she will hold space for both mothers and children through yoga, wellness experiences, and supportive childcare—creating an environment where all feel seen, safe, and supported.
